Set subject - Fire, smore or steam

This is the result of my experimenting with fire for the set subject entry, although I didn't want quite as much fire as this. Turps is harder to light than I thought, but it does burn well once you get it going.

Ralph Densworth - no longer with us.

Val has asked me to inform everyone that Ralph passed away this morning (Monday 28th April).

Ralph was a highly regarded and respected member of the club, who was well known for his exceptional darkroom skills. Although, unable to be as active as he would like, Ralph took up the digital challenge a few years ago and was still producing high quality work until recently.

Ralph was presented with his Life Membership badge last year as recognition for the work and support to the Bendigo Camera Club.

I believe Ralph had been a member of the club since the early sixties. The club has lost a very valued and talented member.

He will be missed.
Update: Graveside service 10am at Runnymede Elmore, then a service(11:30am) at Holy Trinity Church, Keck St, Flora Hill, Bendigo.

Mark....
(I have adjusted the date of this post so it stays as the first entry for the next week)

Ralph, camera and coffee in hand. Taken on a club outing to Healsville in May 2003.
