the journey continues

Im back.....for those that dont know we have been intransit since saturday because of a strike by Air France, supposed to get a flight direct from Morocco to Singapore. Got to the airport and our flight had been canceled. Two days later we are put on Turkish Airline flight-from-hell to Istanbull, fours hours later leaving due to cargo doors not closing, they seem to this was a major deal...missed the next connecting flight to singapore, then put on another flight last night (12hrs) and am now typing this from a free internet cafe in....wait for it.....Tokyo. In a couple of hours we take a flight (8 hrs) to Singapore to hopefully arrive there early in the morning. Lots of other things have happened but I don;t have all night to repeat. Its a great way to see lots of interbnational airports without buying a round-the-world ticket.

Even with the days hanging around airports, getting on and off and endless slow security checks, its still better than going to work.

Quad Comp Results

The judging for the annual Quad Comp was held last night in Castlemaine, with excellent representation from all clubs. The Judge for the night was Norm Dack (hope the spelling is correct) and there were some excellent entries. Congratulations to all who had images entered by their respective clubs.
Bendigo was lucky enough to come away with first place. Well done everyone.

Another couple of very busy days, visiting the Louve, if your into the arts you could spend several days looking at everything, 30 minutes was enough for me. I went to Disneyland yesterday, was cold and raining in the morning. No long lines anywhere in.

Today we climbed to the top of the Arc De Triomph, although Sacreh Coue and Notra Dame were harder. Tonight we had a tour of Paris by Citreon cars with open top roof, bit cold but was great for taking photos. We were able stop anywhere and get some photos. It was good fun, but terrifying. Our driver seemed to be worse than any others on the rode. Tomorrow morning we leave to fly to Morocco, I think we need a holiday first to get over Paris.

Not sure when we will get internet access again once we get to Morocco.

hello from paris

Today the highkight was going to the top level of the Eiffel Tower. Didn;t take long to get to the top. You change lifts at the 2nd level, then take another lift to the top, its is huge.

(Tonight i have keyborad with a return key)

Also climbed to the top of Notre Dame..Boyd had coat stuffed in the back of his jacket and amused us with ;hunback; impersonation. 423 steps to the top. Another steep wnding spiral staircase, although Sacre Coer was harder and probably higher I think. Thursday we are going to Arc De Triomphe (500 steps to the top), should be another exhausting day. Tomorrow I am going to Disneyland, can;t miss Disneland.

Hi...this is going to everyone, its easier and I'm too tired to care. It was almost 48 hours by the time we got to bed last night for a few hours sleep. Traveled around on the trains yesterday, climbed to the top of the Sacre Coeur (google it), hundreds of steps up a very narrow and very steep vertical staircase, when you start there is no going back down. Vicki and I were the only ones who did the climb, I paid for it during the night though. It was hot here yesterday, not cold as expected. (this keyboard is a dodgy). Seen lots of other touristy things, but I can't rember the spelling. Trains are easy enough to use, we have a five day pass to go anywhere on the MET system. Paris time is 8 hours behind AUS. (I have no return key). Only seen the Eifel tower in the distance through the haze. I'd ask how my classes are going....but I don't care. This youth hostel is not exactly 5 stars, in fact it wouldn't even rate close to a 1 star. BYO towell. Cheap is good!  Bonjour.

Pinnacle Studio 11

Pinnacle have release a new version of Studio, I've been playing with this for about a week and it does seem to have fixed the major problems previous versions had. Although not the usual AV a few of us create with our photos, below is a couple of music videos I created for an online competition. They have lost a LOT of quality hosted on YouTube, but it looks good at DVD quality on a widescreen tv.

If your still in dinosaur mode (dial-up speed), you may be waiting for a few minutes once you press the play button.
